Reflections on Water

This event was held in Cathedral Square on Sunday 13 June at 3pm.

We invited the people of Canterbury to gather with us in Cathedral Square where a cairn of river stones was constructed as a mark of public concern.

Stones from the South Island’s great rivers were used to build a cairn on Sunday 13^th June in the front of the Christchurch Cathedral as part of the continuing water protest. The Anglican Bishop, Victoria Matthew, blessed the cairn with Waimakariri river water; the cairn will remain in the Square until regional councilors are re-elected and democracy is restored.
